Hello,

Hello, my name is Pam Banks. In late 2020, I began tossing around the thought of retirement. No, not from real estate, as an educator. I knew I would not be happy retiring forever, so I began researching other careers. As I looked into other professions, real estate was something that I was most interested in.

I’m pleased with my decision to become a realtor. I love talking with people and learning about them. It makes me happy to help others.

My Story

I have lived in Tulare my entire life. I attended schools here and graduated from Tulare Western High School. Go Mustangs! My parents were business owners; Bullock Cement. This business exists today under my brother’s name. After graduating from high school, I completed the prerequisites for the nursing program at College of the Sequoias.   I worked as a nurse’s assistant at Tulare District Hospital and Visalia Community Hospital as a darkroom tech and clerk in the x-ray department.

After marrying my husband  Billy, we started a family. My husband was a truck driver at Knudsen’s; later Kraft Foods. A career in nursing at the time would have been challenging for our family due to my husband’s unpredictable work hours. I decided that I would go back to college and become a teacher.

Alta Vista Elementary School in Porterville hired me as a fourth grade teacher in  1994. I had the pleasure of teaching there for 27 years. I taught grades TK through fourth, but most of my career was spent in TK and Kindergarten.

My husband and I enjoy our three adult children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and nine grandchildren. We love to take walks as exercise, and trips to the beach and the mountains. We especially like our trips to visit our daughter and her family. Our son-in-law is in the military. This requires them to move often. We’ve had the opportunity to spend time with them and explore interesting areas such as Washington state, Connecticut,  and Virginia. This has allowed us to enjoy a  number of trips to Washington D.C.

We have three very spoiled dogs, Abigail, Tyson, and Miss Mamie. They are a joy to have in our lives!
Abigail and Tyson are pretty laid back. Miss Mamie, is a different story! She is a boxer and has a lot of energy and personality. If you’ve ever had a boxer, I’m sure you can relate.

Most important, is my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior. He is my Rock. Without Him, I can do nothing.
